roxit stands for ecological insulation and acoustic solutions based on renewable raw materials that combine maximum technical performance with genuine sustainability. Our product world includes ecological insulation materials, acoustic solutions and system products based on hemp and flax - raw materials derived from living organisms. Hemp and flax are among the most sustainable biogenic raw materials in the construction industry. They are suitable for public and private projects in building construction, timber construction, interior design, acoustics, noise protection and green roofs.

All roxit products are based on renewable raw materials. They are moisture-regulating, provide sound insulation, summer heat protection and contribute to a positive environmental footprint by binding CO₂.

They are certified with the Austrian Ecolabel and are available worldwide.

roxit stands for low-CO₂, circular and climate-friendly building systems

Manufacturing products in Austria using regionally sourced renewable raw materials, short transport routes and the storage of significant amounts of CO₂ creates an outstanding overall environmental performance. As a result, roxit makes a significant contribution to climate-friendly, low-CO₂ and circular building systems.

  • CO₂ sequestration and climate positivity

Hemp and flax are fast-growing renewable raw materials and store more CO₂ over their growth cycle than is consumed during product manufacturing. As a result, they are climate-positive and facilitate building systems with an exceptionally low environmental impact. They therefore provide measurable added value for climate-friendly architecture, sustainable construction and ESG goals.

  • Circularity and recyclability

All materials are recyclable and support circular economy principles in construction. With a high biogenic content, unprocessed boards can be fed back into the production cycle. All of this makes our sustainable building systems future-proof in terms of dismantling, material cycles and EU taxonomy.

  • Resource-conserving production

The raw materials for our sustainable building systems originate from Austria and the Czech Republic and are manufactured in the Weinviertel region (“Made in Austria”). This regional supply chain enables short transport routes, energy-efficient production and continuous reductions in emissions.

Technical properties of sustainable building systems

Sustainable building systems from roxit meet demanding technical requirements and are designed for professional use in building construction and timber construction, interior build-out as well as acoustic and greening systems. The products provide stable load-bearing capacity, durable dimensional stability and precise workability in drywall and timber construction. Their moisture-regulating structure supports safe component structures. The products are low-maintenance, comply with relevant standards and building material classes and deliver reliable performance values for insulation, acoustics and summer heat protection. This makes them well-suited for long-lasting, technically robust and sustainable construction projects.

Areas of application for sustainable building systems

Whether in building construction or civil engineering – sustainable building systems are suitable for a wide range of application in the construction industry.

Modular and serial construction

Sustainable building systems from roxit are ideally suited for modular and serial construction because they are lightweight, dimensionally stable and precisely workable. Hemp and flax insulation materials integrate into room modules, modular buildings and serial residential building concepts where repeatable components, short assembly times and a high level of structural integrity are key. roxit products support diffusion-permeable wall and ceiling systems, provide summer heat protection and sound insulation and contribute to a healthy indoor climate. These are all important factors for compact modules and high-density construction methods.

Life cycle over purchase price: sustainable systems pay off in the long run

With sustainable building systems, the key metric is not the initial purchase price, but the but the total cost over the material’s entire life cycle. Biogenic insulation and acoustic solutions made from hemp and flax reduce energy losses, improve indoor climate and are built for long-term durability. As a result, they often generate significantly lower overall costs over the entire service life than conventional building materials. This makes sustainable building systems both ecologically and economically sensible.
